My work experience as a lobbyist in Sacramento, administrator in a Los Angeles juvenile defense oversight office, clinical social worker, and research assistant in Chicago has given me further insight into organizational dynamics and a nuanced understanding of how well-intended policies can be lost in translation between legislators, direct service providers, and community members. I am currently seeking experiential learning opportunities that will allow me to either add to the body of research regarding evidence-based clinical and policy interventions, provide clinical services to individuals exposed to dependency or carceral systems, or perform comprehensive program evaluation that will support organizations in providing effective, evidence-based, and trauma-informed interventions to vulnerable populations.
